On March 22, the team of the study "UTI-IPD - Strategies to reduce antibiotic use in women with uncomplicated urinary tract infections in primary care - an individual patient data meta-analysis (IPD-MA)" represented by Dr. Yvonne Kaußner received the David Sackett Award. Prof. Ildikó Gágyor was the scientific director of the project. The prize of the EbM network was awarded during this year's annual meeting in Potsdam.

Since 2020, the Bavarian Practice Based Research Network (BayFoNet) has been promoting research in general medicine through collaborations between general practices and the departments of general practice in Bavaria. At the advisory board meeting on March 9-10, 2023 in Würzburg, the representatives of the five participating Bavarian departments of general medicine took stock of the progress.

Prof. Dr. Ildikó Gágyor and team members Caroline Tengelmann and Maike Ermster attended a training session of primary care network representatives from seven countries in Utrecht, the Netherlands, in preparation of ECRAID-Prime’s first clinical trial. The purpose of the training is to train country representatives in trial procedures and stimulate discussions on trial start-up and implementation issues and challenges in their local contexts.
